Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat luxury Bed & Breakfast and Honeymoon Cottage accommodation is the ideal honeymoon destination on the far North Coast of NSW Australia. Choose to self cater in our beautiful self contained honeymoon cottage, which has a fully equipped kitchen and gas bbq on the private verandah, or enjoy that extra personal touch in one of our luxury bed and breakfast suites in the private guest wing of our main residence. Whether you are staying in the Bed & Breakfast wing or the Cottage you can enjoy an evening meal at Hillcrest ~ however we do need advance notice for BBQ packs. Please also be aware that only food purchased at Hillcrest may be cooked on the main house BBQ. Cottage guests are, of course, free to bring their own food if they wish. Breakfast at Hillcrest Retreat If you are staying in our Main House Bed & Breakfast our full country-style breakfast is included in your daily Cost. Honeymoon Cottage guests can choose to fully self cater or have their own private kitchen stocked with breakfast provisions for extra charge. In the main house, breakfast is served in the dining room, which opens to our charming central atrium (pictured right), at Clive's beautiful hand-crafted timber dining table, at a time to suit you between 7:30 and 9am. B&B guests who decide to get up before dawn to climb Mt Warning, will have cereal, juice and a fruit platter left in the guest lounge fridge for a light breakfast before they leave. The remainder of breakfast, including our famous home-made bread and home-grown free-range eggs, will be served to you in the dining room on your return. 
We cater for only two couples in the main house so even if you choose the same time as your fellow bed and breakfast guests for your repast there will only be the four of you in the dining room. If you prefer total privacy then you have the option of taking a tray to the table outside your bedroom or to the gazebo by the pool. Of course Honeymoon Cottage guests can dine any time they choose as their kitchen (pictured below) is stocked with everything necessary to prepare their own breakfast feast at a time to suit themselves.

After breakfast Clive is happy to sit and talk with you about the best things to see and do during your stay in the beautiful Tweed Valley. We have a host of on-site brochures, information and maps and will gladly make arrangements for you to take any tours you may like the look of. If you are staying for several days, particularly if you are from outside Australia, we highly recommend the full day rainforest tour of the most bio-diverse rainforests in Australia. 
You may prefer just to relax by our solar-heated pool, swing gently in the hammock outside your room, enjoy a massage or silk pamper session in our private massage room, your cottage or the gazebo on a fine day. Dinner at Hillcrest Retreat 
Hillcrest Mountain View Honeymoon Retreat bed and breakfast and luxury cottage accommodation is only 13 km from the centre of Murwillumbah, which means a gentle 12 minute drive will take you to the many pubs, restaurants and cafes for you to dine out. Both the main house guest lounge and cottage have booklets with menus from our favourite restaurants and cafes, as well as a supply of "mud maps" to show you where exactly they are located in town. Cottage guests are of course free to self cater with their fully equipped kitchen and gas BBQ, however main house B&B guests may also order DIY BBQ packs with advance notice - please note that the main house BBQ is ONLY for food purchased from Hillcrest - there are no self-catering facilities in the main house. Tracy is gluten intolerant herself so has plenty of experience in wheat-free cooking as well as vegetarian and even vegan cooking.
