In winter you can choose to snuggle up by the real wood burning fire in our honeymoon cottage - or if staying the bed and breakfast wing of the main house, enjoy the open fireplace and comfortable leather recliners in the private guest lounge (pictured right).

Hillcrest caters to a maximum of only three couples ~ one couple in our luxury Cottage with fully equipped kitchen, your own gas bbq and top of the range luxury double spa bath, and two couples in our private Bed & Breakfast wing of the main residence with open fireplace and choice of double spa bath or full size ordinary bath.

Meet our pet horses, Larry the old Thoroughbred, Bonny the Shetland and little "Ginger-nut biscuit" our miniature pony, enjoy eggs from our free-range chooks and visits from "Brian" the echidna who regularly visits the Cottage garden.

Tweed Coast luxury cabin & cottage accommodation devotees will be delighted with Hillcrest Cottage. Set away from the main house in its own secluded garden a few metres from the solar-heated salt-water swimming pool, our self-catering cottage enjoys some of the most spectacular views of any romantic accommodation in the Tweed Coast or hinterland. The photo below was taken from the cottage lounge looking out through the double glass doors which open to a private verandah with comfortable sun lounges and gas BBQ.

In the other direction you can see straight to Mt Warning from the bedroom and large ensuite bathroom - complete with top of the range luxury double spa bath and separate large shower.

Hillcrest Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, wide screen stereo tv, dvd player, stereo system, real wood fire for winter romance, and split system reverse cycle air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans for summer comfort. Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast is located in a private guest wing of the main house. Winner of multiple state and regional tourism awards, 4½ Star Rated Hillcrest B&B offers guests private entry, guest lounge set up as a quiet reading area with open fireplace, stereo system, stocked fridge and beverage-making facilities. The guest lounge opens, via 2 sets of double glass sliding doors to a charming central atrium with fishpond, tropical plants and resident Green Tree Frogs during summer.

Hillcrest offers a choice of two luxury bed and breakfast suites ~ the Blue Room and the Spa Suite. Both the Bed & Breakfast suites and guest lounge have individually controlled split system reverse cycle air-conditioning. If you don't like air-conditioning then your room also has a ceiling fan so you can control the environment in your own space to your liking.

Rooms come fully equipped with televisions, dvd players, robes, pool towels and a selection of pillows. Both rooms have double glass sliding doors to a large verandah, with table, chairs and your own personal hammock outside each room. Both ensuite bathrooms come with bath towels, candles, hairdryers and a selection of toiletries to use during your stay.

Hillcrest is only 75 minutes drive from Brisbane, 35 minutes from Gold Coast airport and 40 minutes from Byron Bay ~ although if you're a beach person, then the Tweed Coast beaches are far quieter than those of Byron or the Gold Coast. Our central location, total peace, privacy and the fact that even when we're full we only cater for 3 couples in total make us an ideal honeymoon or romantic getaway destination.
